Just wanted to let everyone know that Dominic did get his cast off on Thursday. We are happy it is off, but he is still walking like he has it on.They said that it will take awhile for him to walk "normal", he needs to build his muscles back up.We are just worried that he will develop a bad habit of walking with it out to the side.We will see, I am going to watch him and if he continues to walk funny I will call to see about maybe doing some physical therapy.
As you can see in the above photo, Dominic was trying out his chain saw on his first cast to see if he could get it off.
Also, please know that I do dress my kids.It seems a lot of Dominic's photos are of him in just a diaper. It is just easier with the cast to have him without bottoms. But also, my children just LOVE to be in just their underwear, I think it's a kid thing!

Cute video of Dominic
Here is a cute video of Dominic I took tonight. We are really excited because tomorrow morning he will get his cast off!!!!!!I am trying not to get too excited because there is always that possibility that he may need to wear it a little longer if it is still tender. It has been a long 5 weeks, I can't wait to give him a proper bath!He just can't wait to play in water again!I will keep everyone posted on the outcome!

How was your weekend?
Well,I hope everyone had a wonderful Memorial Day weekend!I wish I could say that ours was filled with warm weather,BBQ,&running around playing in the kiddie pool.Instead we had no BBQ,cold weather,a trip to the ER,& our boy Dominic with a broken leg!
Well, it was Sunday around 5pm, dinner had been eaten and it was time for a little play in the house before baths.David and I were both in the office while the kids where watching TV and playing with their toys in the living room.We heard a sound and then we could hear Dominic crying. We rush in to check on him and he was holding his leg. There was no redness, swelling,or sign of an injury, but he was crying in pain.David assessed his leg and notice he wouldn't put any weight on it(I have to tell you, that I LOVE the fact that I am married to a Paramedic, just for this reason). We decided that he needed to go to the ER.David took buddy to the UCD ER.When he got there luckily there was not much of a wait. They took x-rays, and found out he has an lower fracture of the Tibia bone down by the ankle.Luckily, he didn't damage his growth plate.Dominic was a trooper,he only cried when they would touch it, and once he got a little Motrin on board he was fine. They put him in cast from his thigh to his toes and he will have to wear it for about 6 weeks. One doctor said for 4 weeks but we will see, whatever it takes to make it mend right.
While he was at the hospital I asked Sam what he was doing, and she says he was standing on his little dump truck.I think he was trying to ride it like a skate board and it just took off.Lately, he has become quite the little dare devil, I have caught him trying to stand on toys before and standing on our coffee table.I have never had this problem with Sam, I guess it comes with the territory of having a boy!
Today, was our first day with him in his cast. All I can say is that it is going to be a LONG 6 weeks for ALL of us.I feel like I have a 30lb 8month old.He can't walk in his cast,so we have to pack him around. We just feel so bad for our little buddy,he wanted to go outside and ride his bike so badly today.I have also told Sam that she is not going to be able to have their kiddie pool out until the cast comes off.I just think it would be so cruel to him, because he doesn't understand(I think I will have to sneak her over to Grandma "D" house with David for a swim or two).
Well, on a happier note Sam, finished her T-Ball last week and moves on to soccer in 2 weeks. She got her trophy, which she loves.I think sometimes that is why she plays is just for that shinny trophy, she is so proud of them, and we are proud of her.We actually signed her up for 2 soccer teams this year. The first one through the CSD goes from June til August, and David will be the assistant coach. The 2ND is EGYSL, its a league and she will be on a all girls team with girls from our neighborhood. It runs for from August through October.I can't believe I just signed away 4 months of Saturday, but oh well, its good for all of us and we enjoy it!
Oh, one more thing.Last month David and I decided to give Dominic his big boy room.I have to give a big shout out to my hubby for going the distance for me.When we first talk about doing it, we said we were just going to get new bedding and furniture and leave his room blue.Well, I like to coordinate things so I said "I want to do some red in his room", "oh and since we are at it can we add a little chair rail".Well, my honey & I came up with a design and David got his room all done in 2 days!I love how it turned out and more importantly so does Dominic! He stayed over at my parents house so it would be a surprise, and it was!His reaction was "WOW"&"Cool"!He loves fire engines, so now he can sleep with them!
Oh, and some of the walls look bare, but these are old photos. We still have a light, and a shelf coming, and David has something special planned for above his bed.

Where have we been?
Well, once again it has taken me awhile to blog.If you haven't already noticed I am a procrastinator.Things always seem to come up and I keep putting it off.Well, finally I got some time to blog.Things have been OK around here.We had a great month of February. We enjoyed a nice Valentines Day dinner out at the Spaghetti Factory as a family. We then came home and ate some Sheri's berries that David had given me.All and all it was a nice relaxing day with the family. My birthday was awesome and low key.I got to celebrate a few times once with my parents and sister(they watched the kids for me so my sister and I could have a girls day).David and the kids made me a cake, which was yummy, and then Donna and Dave took David and I out to the Melting Pot.It was awesome. The celebration was for Davids birthday, promotion, and my birthday. The food was awesome but the company was even better!
The beginning of March Samantha started T-Ball.She is on the Tigers which is bright orange, of all colors! She is really loving it, there are 2 other girls on the team and also her good friend Dylan. It has been great having all the grandparents making it to the games, she really enjoys seeing them,as well as Dominic,David and I.
Sam getting ready to bat!
Sam making her way to third base, and daddy is pointing the way!
Just being kids!
Well, another reason for my late blogging is my sister Joys health.I don't know if any of you know that my sister has kidney failure. She has been on dialysis know for 2 years and on March 9Th we almost lost her.She wasn't feeling too good and she was having trouble walking and was getting weaker by the minute. Finally, around 9pm that night my dad and I took her to the emergency room.We got in right away. When they hook her up to the monitors they could tell something was wrong. They did blood work ASAP and come to find out her potassium level was 8.6.Basically anything over level 8is deadly. They where giving her medicine so fast trying to stabilize her.Luckily they brought it down and put her in ICU and gave her emergency dialysis.Come to find out the ER doctor said that we were honestly within minutes of losing her.I guess potassium stops the heart and that is what they use in the death penalty for the lethal injection. To make a long story short she is doing better now.Its been a long road.It seems that the cause was a combination of things, being on a medicine she should have never been on,her shunt in her arm not working properly, and also the dialysis center not monitoring her properly. She just went in on surgery on Friday to reopen her shunt in her arm(they had to put in a port in between her chest and neck so she can receive dialysis while her arm heals). So please everyone keep her in your prayers. It was and is really difficult for me to witness her go through all of this.I am so glad she has been given a second chance, I have been so proud of her.Since the beginning of the year she has lost 40lbs!Her goal and all of ours is to get her as healthy as can be and get her on the donors list!We LOVE you Joy!
On a more uplifting note, since things have been getting better with Joy, I have been decorating a little around the house.I hosted a "Uppercase living"party on Friday.I went to a Lady's house who is in my MOMS club for her party and decide to have one of my one.I have never done anything like this before but its a lot of fun.Basically what it is,is stickers for the walls that look like stencils. Here is a picture of what I did with Davids help (he is such a perfectionist and awesome with measurements), I really loved how it turned out!http://www.uppercaseliving.com/
Oh wait a minute, I forgot Easter.Well, I agree with everyone it just came way too fast for me.With all the drama surrounding my sisters health, planning a big dinner was last on my mind. Our Easter though turned out nice.We decorate some eggs, the Easter bunny came and left eggs and candy, had a nice visit with grandma and grandpa"D", and then had a delicious meal with my parents and Joy at their house! The kids enjoyed having another Easter egg hunt at Grandma & Grandpa Rankin's.They got spoiled once again!

Where will I be in ten years:
Wow, ten years, lets see Sam will be 14 Dominic 12.I will proably be going out of mind dealing with all the teenage drama.I hope we will be living somewhere else in California(ElDorado Hills possibly).I hope we have been able to travel and take the kids to places they have never seen, also us too.Just to be happy and all together enjoying life!

Riding bikes & Building dogs!
Well, not too much going on here in the Price family household. The weather here lately hasnt been the greatest. One day its rainy the next day its sunny, but still very cold.Whenever there is a break in the rainy weather, we like to try and get outside! The kids got new bikes and helmets for Christmas from Santa and they just love riding them.Sam is starting to get a little brave on her new bike.Dominic, well he is a work in progress, he scoots his bike with his feet, and just loves it when we push him real fast. The other day,we all went for a walk down to Starbucks, Sam rode her bike. When we got down there, there is a new Nestle Toll House cafe shop open. She had brought her purse with a few dollars in it.I thought it was pretty precious because she asked if we could go there, and we said "yes".After we said "yes", she goes "Hey buddy", "Come on I'll buy you a cookie".So, off they went inside, they each picked out a cookie,Sam paid for it with her own money, and they sat down and ate them together.David and I were very pleased to see her care for him like that. They are pretty close (though they have their moments)but I just hope they will always have a close bond.
Another cute event, was this last week we went to the mall with my sister Joy.Joy wanted to get them a Valentine gift from the Build-a-bear store. So, she took the kids inside the shop where they picked out their dogs and got to stuff them. They loved doing this, and then they got to give their dogs a air bath. They sure do love their new doggies, they sleep with them every night!
