A Funtastic Day!

Well lately it has been pretty uneventful around here.Samantha is out of school till August 2 so we have had a lot of free time on our hands. It was pretty nice the first few days but then we have been a little bored.I try and arrange a few play dates during the week so we have some different company other than ourselves.
Today we had a great time on our play date.We got together with my friend Kim and her daughter Lexi.We went and checked out this new place called "Funtastic", it is in Elk Grove, off of Waterman. It just opened last month and it is an indoor play area for kids that are crawling to 8 years old. They kids really enjoyed it, especially Dominic.I was really happy to find a place where he could run around and not get hurt. They have a big play structure for older kids with slides, and they are really fast.I went down a few times with Dominic and was really surprised how fast they were. They have a toddler area where its all soft play mats with tunnels and balls. They also have a room where there is dress up clothes and musical instruments. It is a great concept because they also have a cafe inside where they have kid friendly foods and wireless connection for parents. The only catch is to get in it is $8 a child, adults free, and no outside food allowed. Its little pricey but sometimes on a hot day you don't mind spending it, I could easily spend that at home running my air conditioner! So, for all those who will be here in a few weeks if you are interested in going just let me know! Here is a few pics and also the link to the place.http://www.funtasticplaycenters.com/

Jill, looks like a great place to bring some bored kids on a hot summer day! Thanks for checking it out. Dominic looks like he is totally enjoying climbing on the nets. How expensive is the food? IS there a stamp you can get if you leave and come back? We will talk. Donna

Looks like a really fun place. It also looks pretty empty. Do a lot of kids go to this place? Maybe we will all have to check it out when we come to visit (although Hannah is probably too young to enjoy it but I would enjoy watching other kids play).

It's nice to find a place to escape from the heat and boredom during the summer. Looks like fun. Can't wait to see you all soon!

That looks like a place Allie would love. I wish I could find something like that here. It is so humid and hot, no one wants to go outside. And I bet it's a great place for cold, winter days too.
